At Portico we want to create memories and experiences that inspire, engage and motivate. Working in customer services requires commitment and hard work and we want to let our people know that they’re doing an incredible job. Without our Portico People – we can’t do the amazing things we do. Every day we are bowled over by the service they deliver and their ability to continually keep raising the bar in customer service.
This month we hosted Our Oscars – the Portico People Awards. This is our opportunity to all come together as a team, catch up and share stories, and celebrate each other’s achievements. It’s also a great excuse to whip out our party outfits. On 8th November hundreds of us came together to celebrate and congratulate our PPA winners. Held at the elegant Plaisterers’ hall, it was a night to remember, with entertainment, delicious food and treats and the reveal of our 14 worthy winners.

● Ashley at AIB took home the Outstanding Service Award
● Creating Memorable Moments was a new Award for 2019 with Ailsa at RBS being crowned the winner for her ‘Honey Story’
● Our Creative Innovator was Adel at S&S
● The Inspire Award was received by Elisa at 20 Fenchurch Street
● Lara at UBS took home our Relationship Award
● Our newest Emerging Talent went to Toma at Goldman Sachs who joined us in April
● The Team Support Award went to Aishetu Gadzama
● The Portico Support Office Star went to our Michael
● Finally our winning teams were Abbey Gardens, Canary Wharf Group, Shearman & Sterling and ASOS
It was also the 3rd year for our most prestigious award – The Heart Award. The winner of this award embodies everything that Portico stand for, and are true custodians of our values.
This year it was awarded to Thelma Anderson from UBS. A dedicated individual who has been with Portico since the beginning. After 19 years of service, Thelma continues to live and breathe our service habits. As the matriarch of the team, she is the source of advice and guidance, both personally and professionally. Not just a colleague, but a friend that the team feels honored to have. Thelma has built some lasting relationships – and after almost 20 years at UBS, keeps on forging more every day! She is a true testament of a Portico person and a truly worthy winner of this award.
